| 1. |
Download
and install an IRC client, such as mIRC
or whatever suits your preference. The instructions below
apply specifically to the mIRC, but can be adapted to suit
any other client.
|
| 2.
|
Open
your client, and locate the mIRC Options Panel (which will
open automatically unless you disable it). Select the "Servers"
option from the menu on the left. In the "IRC Network"
drop down box, select "SorceryNet".
|
| 3.
|
Select
the "Connect" tag, and enter your details. Don't
worry about using your real name - No one ever does! Type
in your chosen nickname, and click "Connect To Server".
(Tip: Try to select an uncommon nickname, or else you might
find that your nickname belongs to someone else! Sorcery.net
allows up to 17 letter long nicknames.)
|
| 4.
|
Your
IRC client will then connect to the Sorcery chat network.
When it's finished, you can type /join #BlueScar into the
command line, or #BlueScar in the "Channel Favourites"
box. Your client will then open the BlueScar chat channel
window.

Voila!
Chat away, have fun, and obey the rules! The rules are simple;
be nice, avoid shouting (TYPING IN ALL CAPS LIKE THIS), avoid
flooding (repeatedly posting lines of the same thing), and
no advertising without permission from the operators! The
ops (people with @ in front of their name) are there to help,
so please respect them!
