Blue
Scar Productions attends many conventions and events, as
a chance to meet the fans and get their comics and merchanise
out there! Not to mention, to meet the awesome boys and
girls out there that're in the same game as us, since they're
all absolutely fantastic!
This section is dedicated to an overview of each
of the conventions that BSP has attended, with the most recent
ones first.

For
the first time since the foundation of Blue Scar Productions,
we attended a convention in a whole other country! That's
right, as of April 2007, BSP has gone international! The
booth was tended by Vic Dreyer (BSP Director, The
Gyrath's Gate Chronicles, Tour Girls In The 23rd
Century), Adam Perales & Susan Rugg (Legends
of Phauroralands: Slayer's Game) and Matthew Wills
(Necromechanic: The Redemption Aegis).
A
fantastic time was had by all, and we've come back with
a whole country's worth of good memories and good sales.
Don't worry, Australia! We'll be back for more soon! Oh,
and no - we didn't smuggle out a kangaroo for Murk to
devour. Not yet, anyway!

Wellington
2007
Date: April

Sorry, no pictures yet!
After
the exhausting week we spent in Australia around Supanova,
only three members of Blue Scar Productions made it to Wellington
Armageddon this year. Adam Perales & Susan Rugg (Legends
of Phauroralands: Slayer's Game) and Kylie Scollick
(Solo Flame) made it down. Sorry, Wellington! We'll
be back next year!

The
first Armageddon of '06 was a labour of both love and pain
from start to finish. As our first convention since the
departure of Alex, Vic had to learn everything the hard
way and in a very short amount of time. Without a new book
to release, some of our fans expressed disappointment -
but we're almost universally forgiven when we mentioned
that we're planning to take two of our main series colour
in the next year!
For
the first time... well... EVER, all the members of Blue
Scar Productions bar one were at the booth together. We
met up with Bethani, Matthew, and Jason along the way and
down in Wellington itself. We had a great time with everyone
together. Very little work was done, but... who cares!
Alas,
we didn't have a nippleball to get signed this time, but
that's okay - Susan brought enough comics along to get signed
to drown only comic-related guest, anyway! And the most
important piece of information of all... We managed to cross-dress
someone in the Tour Girls uniform! Props to Vanya for being
such a darn good sport!

Battlecry

What
can we say about Battlecry? We were one of the sponsors
of the event, and it was very nice to see everyone walking
around with the new Blue Scar Productions logo on their
bags... but Kat and Vic almost went mad from boredom by
the end of the con! Everyone else had a great time, and
that's what's most important.
We
also learnt to play several really fun new board games,
which is always a good thing. So go check out the photos,
nothing else to see here!

Armageddon
Auckland 2005

Armageddon
October 2005 was held in the Aotea Centre in central Auckland.
Although our booth was procured at the very last minute,
and we were lodged between the toilets, it was a good convention
and we enjoyed ourselves. However, we did feel that the
convention was not as large as it could have been, probably
thanks to its being held over a cold, drizzly Labour Weekend.
Still, it was the 10th Anniversary, and it was very nice
not to be trapped in the same sort of sweltering, deafening
heat of the Queen's Wharf.
Along
with having another Tour Girl for this convention, Blue
Scar Productions unveiled its new line of black and white
cover templates on the latest issue of "Tour Girls
In The 23rd Century". We also released the black and
white preview issues of "Legends of Phauroralands:
Slayer's Game" and "The Gyrath's Gate Chronicles".
We had new posters, new minions, and met some new friends
along the way, and are very much looking forward to the
next convention - Though, we're secretly extremely glad
they're only held twice a year. Tiring!
And
of course, the best part was getting to meet Michael Turner,
who was feeling much better, to all of our relief! He even
signed our nipple-ball for us!

For
the first time, Blue Scar Productions had its own booth!
Unfortunately, when we arrived we discovered that we had
more wallspace than we knew what to do with. So, Blue had
to rush home and spray paint us up the psuedo-banner that
we used for the weekend. Thankfully, we had enough posters
and things to hide the fact that it was all a last minute
job!
Though
our table was naked, we managed to have a good weekend,
that saw the release of the hideous first printing of "Tour
Girls In The 23rd Century" #1 to go with the #0 that
we still had stock of from last time. We also had several
new posters - And our very first booth girl running around
in costume, pimping us up!
The
only down side of the entire convention was the overzealous
DJ on the radio, that kept creeping the volume of the speaker
above our head up so high that we all ended up with a horrible,
pounding headache by the end of the day. Luckily for everyone,
Bill is an angel sent from heaven, and managed to save us
from the loud tunes! Thank you to everyone who signed our
get well soon card for Michael Turner - He let us know at
the Auckland convention that he'd recieved the card, and
loved it. It's sitting on his mantle.

Armageddon Wellington 2004
Date: September 25-26

Lacking
photos, we have this awesome fanart from Robbie Neilson!
Our
very first convention! We were stuck in with the other black
and white comic artists, but we managed to... commandeer
a table almost entirely to ourselves, to showcase the release
of our first book - "Tour Girls In The 23rd Century" #0.
Though we ended up sharing our booth in the end, the guys
we ended up sharing with were absolutely fantastic. So,
this is a shout out to Grant Buist ("Brunswick")
and Robbie Neilson ("MAN" comics), for being generally
awesome boothmates... despite the fact we hogged the table
and stuck them both in a corner!
I
don't think they minded terribly much. Funny, that.
